Log#1: Bhool Bhulaiya 3

Hello Blog, Happy Diwali! This Diwali weekend brings an exciting box office showdown in India, with two major releases going head-to-head: Ajay Devgn's high-octane action thriller  Singham Again , directed by Rohit Shetty, and  Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 , a horror-comedy starring Kartik Aaryan under the direction of Anees Bazmee. Bollywood has been buzzing with developments over the past month. From  Jigra ’s massive flop and the ensuing ticketing scandal to celebrities focusing more on meaningful partnerships with directors and selecting better scripts to build a strong portfolio, there’s a clear attempt to decode what Indian audiences truly want. I recently watched  Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3  and here’s my review: Casting of Tripti Dimri Known for her cult-followed roles in films like  Laila Majnu , Tripti Dimri has finally made her mark on the big screen. She’s had a stellar year, especially after the release of  Animal , but her overexposure—and unfortunate cosmet...

Video Games - Review 01

What Remains of Edith Finch - A gameplay review    Hello Blog, It’s been a while since I last shared my thoughts here. TL;DR  – While this space is usually reserved for movie and ad film reviews (which I still love!), recently, I’ve found myself captivated by watching the gameplay of some cult classic video games on YouTube. One game that really caught my eye is What Remains of Edith Finch, and after seeing its overwhelmingly positive reviews, I couldn’t resist diving in. I cleared about 1.5 hours of my day and hit play. Here’s what I  think about this game, I hope you enjoy this piece.  Image Source:  what-remains-of-edith-finch What Remains of Edith Finch is a hauntingly beautiful yet unsettling experience. Many describe it as such, but to me, it felt like an interactive storybook with emotional depth. The game revolves around the Finch family, who left their Scandinavian roots for a new life in America, only to face a series of tragic and untim...

BADA SCREEN DAMKHA: Kalki 2898 AD

Kalki 2898 AD : Review  Director: Nag Ashwin  Produced by: Priyanka Dutt, Swapna Dutt, C.S Awani Dutt  Cast: Prabhas, Kamal Hassan, Amitabh Bachan, Deepika Padukone, Disha Patani,  Where to watch: In Theatres Near You.  It's been a while since I have seen a movie in the theatre. I mostly prefer watching content on OTT platforms. The charm of going to theatres has somewhere down the line been lost for me. It is quite nice to see how PVR and IMAX are trying to stay afloat by offering special offers, re-running old classics at nominal rates, and improving their service. Some movies can't be seen on the small screen. This holds quite true for  Kalki 2898 AD . After a series of colossal failures with  Saaho  and  Ramayana , Sri Prabhas is back to his roots, this time in an action-packed dystopian science film. In support roles, we have Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, and Disha Patani. To date, it has become the most expensi...

Weekend Manorajan: Kota Factory

Weekend Manorajan: Kota Factory Season 3  A review of Netflix and TVF's Kota Factory Season 3.  Director: Pratish Mehta Created by: Raghav Sabbu  Produced by: Arunabh Kumar  Cast: Jitendra Kumar, Tillotoma Shome, Rajesh Kumar, Sohila Kapur  Where to watch: Netflix (All three seasons)  Kota Factory  is painful to watch as a former science student. I have lived every second frame of this show (minus being enrolled in Kota's very own factory). The competitiveness among students, the pressure to perform, the disappointment of not being selected for good schools or colleges, and juggling between the BAUs (love life, practical copies, and board exams)—the emotions carried by this show just hit home. Kota Factory tells a simple storyline of three aspirants and the ecosystem around them as they try to navigate the challenges brought by one of the most competitive exams in Asia—the JEE. The trio face their own set of challenges, from jealousy to financial ...

Blog 01: An Introduction to Film Adda

Hi,    I am Mehak, a resident of Mumbai. I've been blogging for the past three and a half years. The blogging experience is great, though it has its own set of challenges. I started my first blog with the ambition of connecting people with one another through shared principles and ideas.   When Jaden Smith on a podcast said, "Man, can we talk about the political-economic situation of the world right now?". In 2021, I would have supported him with all my heart. I believe a well-informed Gen Z could make better decisions for tomorrow than our preceding generations could achieve for the good of humanity. But after a decent level of university education, I guess it's just too early to take on such a heavy responsibility right now.   So I am doing what I hope most of my peers should do. Taking a back seat, let the oldies fight over land, resources, and power. In the meantime, I would read a book or two, navigate this life, and maybe share something online.  I ...
